The Love of God

Many would say “Love is all you need” and yet time and time again they find that love has let them down. There is a yearning in our hearts to find a love that we can trust in, rest our lives in, but so often we’re lookin’ for love in all the wrong places. There is however a love that never fails that is spoken of in the book of Romans. It is a love that Paul, the author of Romans, declares with all confidence is a love we can trust in, rest in and find comfort in. It is a love that protects, defends and defeats every hardship that we might encounter in this world. It is a love that never fails that is revealed in Christ Jesus. I pray that you would find a love that never fails in Christ that you might find healing from the wounds of this world.

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
